Question by jjamiejbd: where can i get a texas holdem card table refelted?
Best answer:
Answer by Bruno
Do it yourself. It’s easy. Buy the felt from a billiard/pool supply company. All you need is a good stapler, a box cutter or pair of scissors, pair of pliers, staple remover. Remove the old felt and if necessary remove the old staples,
or simply hammer them in and staple over them. If the foam is in good shape you need not remove it. If it does need replacing, you can buy foam at any arts and crafts store. Cut the foam to fit the table exactly. Do not glue it. Make sure the felt is bigger than the table so you can work with it. Lay felt on table, attach with a couple of staples on one end, then do the same on the opposite end, making it snug but not too tight. Repeat on other ends, then attach staples about 1 inch apart, making sure felt is snug all around. Cut felt in an x shape for dealers tray if there is one and staple. Cut felt all around on bottom edge of table. If there is no armrest then staple on bottom of table.

Question by dunhate235: texas holdem full table micro stakes situation?
PlayerB Stack size: 135
PLAYER E 100 Left of the hijack
PLAYER G (You)120 CO
Game type: .50 / 1 NL
Your image: TAG
Opponent’s image: Player B has been ultra tight and Player E has been a borderline maniac
Your hand: QsQd
The setup: You’ve been at the table for about an hour with
Player B and they haven’t been playing many hands. They’ve shown down a few hands and each time they’ve been strong. Player E has only been at the table for a dozen orbits or so and has been very aggressive. Here player B makes it $ 4 and Player E promptly re-raises to $ 16. You are on the cutoff with Queens and everyone else has folded to you. What’s your play?
Johnathan i completely disagree… In a cash game its all about finding a good spot. In a tournament when you’re short stack or the blinds are getting too big then you might consider going allin.
For all you guys saying raise.. lets see UTG+1 just raised 4xbb in such horrible position . Let screams 1010-AA, AK. Then you get raised by some guy in like middle position who raises it to 16xbb. Okay hes loose, but is he a dumb fuck? There are what, like 5 people behind him to act? He has at least AQ,AK, 99-AA. Im pretty sure this is -ev. Well lets say you do raise. Then player b folds and player e raises allin. Now what? Are you going to fold with around 40% of stack in the pot (i suck at math, but thats my estimation)? If player b pushes at best you are in a race. Plz correct me if im incorrect with what the oppenents hand ranges are.
Well anyways i ruled out raising (which might be wrong). Lets say you call and player b calls. You flop an overpair now what? Player B pots it wtf to do?
No tank i dont mean AAx, KKx. I mean when the flop comes down 27J. And lets say the tight player pots it. Now what? He could ezily have AK and is c-betting, but he could also have JJ, QQ, KK.
i cant choose best answer.. i dont know who is right.

Answer by Lee H
Go all in. It’d be silly to fold this hand before the flop.
Now, if Player E raised, and player B re-raised, then I would CONSIDER laying it down. But too many people think AK or AQ are hands good enough to go all in with, so I would not automatically assume you are beat even in this situation.

Question by bob saget: How to run at home texas holdem Poker tournament, chip distribution/values, blinds,?
me and my friends have been having poker nights for a while now everyone puts in $ 20 and there is a set chip amount, every time the dealer chips goes around the table we up the blinds, we start at one chip small 2 chip big blind and up the small blind by 1 each time we start with a couple hundred chips. What always ends up happening is we fight over how to split up the chips, we usually end up doing around 5 or 6 of each color whites=1 green=5 red=10 blue=20 black=25, and nobody ever truly wins, it gets late and we have to go home so we stop playing and count up our chips. We usually have 8 people. The main questions I’m wondering are what a good way is to distribute chips and good chip values, and also how to make it so after playing for 4 hours we still have 5 people left playing.
please only answer if you seriously know what you’re talking about and don’t tell me anything about gambling being bad/illegal

Answer by TheMadProfessor
If you’re playing no-limit, there is no way to guarantee having at least half the players left by the end of the night unless you allow rebuys. With limit, it’s much more likely, but again no guarantee – rebuys are your friend in making sure a bad run of luck doesn’t knoch too many people out too quick.
Are you chipping-up periodically? With blinds going up every time around the table, you’ll want to get rid of those smaller-denomination chips when they become irrelevant. Also, consider going to a time-based blind raise instead – as the table shrinks, the blinds are probably going up too fast if you’re still raising them every time the dealer button has gone around once. Just get a digital kitchen timer and up the blinds every time it goes off – every 10-15 minutes or so is probably about right for the rate you’re used to.

Answer by Lonerock
I cant help you with poker sites, but Executable programs are any program on your computer. So Internet Explorer is an executable, so is notepad, or solitaire.
The reason that you computer is warning you is that in the past malicious software would get loaded on computers by people that were not sure what they were doing, so now you are warned.
This poker program may indeed be malicious. So make sure you are running Anti-Virus & Anti-Spyware (Norton, MacAfee or AVG) software that is up to date and then download it. If the anti-spam and spyware software does not warn you that it is bad then you should be OK.
