I’ve used these as well:
Don’t look at your cards until it is your turn. You should focus on your opponents and try to ‘read’ them or try to find a tell.

Do not re-raise a re-raise, trying to bluff, unless you have a pretty darn good hand.

If it is cheap, call the blinds or bets to see the flop. You may get something useful.

If you aren’t familiar with pot odds, read up on them to help determine wether it is worthwhile to stay in a hand.

When the blinds are huge, fold your hole cards if you aren’t the small or big blind, unless you have a strong hand (high suited conenctors, anything with an Ace, medium-high pairs, etc.)

If you win a pot with a bluff, don’t much the cards. Show them so they think that you only raise when you have bad cards. That way, when you have good cards, they will fall for your trap. (works the other way around too.)

If you are in short stack position, you have to be aggressive. Since you are already losing. no point in letting the blinds attack at your little tower of chips. Raise.

An alumni group I am affiliated with tried to do one here in Maryland only to find out that they are not icnluded in casino night fundraisers. They are not allowed apparently. Check with your state first before doing anymore set up work.
