Question by mandonlk1: I purchased Bryan Micon’s Poker System for 97.00. It suppose to help you learn texas holdem. Beware,!!?
I can’t get it to download and can not get the site, to repond and help me. Think it is a big scam. Royal Flush Inc. Put this ad on their site and won’t help either. If Bryan Micon is a professional poker player, he is making his money scamming on the internet. Anyone else had this problem??

Best answer:

Answer by johndeere019
I’ve gotta tell you, the best way to learn is to play and when you make a mistake, print out your hand history and really review it. Analyze if it was a mistake on how much you bet, if you chased, if they got lucky because they chased, etc. This is the only way to get better. You could’ve taken that $ 97.00 and played .05/.1 no limit for quite some time and even if you lost it all (like you did by buying this poker system) then at least you would really be learning something. Poker can be very fun and very lucrative if you follow some simple rules.

1. Manage your bankroll
2. Know when its not worth it to chase
3. Learn how to read people…are they betting to draw you in or are they testing you to see if you have anything
4. If you get beat bad and it starts affecting your playing style, STOP immediately

Good luck!

What do you think? Answer below!

Your only seconds away from learning all about Texas Holdem. Read this article right now!

Texas Holdem is undoubtedly the most popular form of poker played everywhere in the world. Ii you already know this then you should also know that there have to be several reasons behind this immense popularity.

One of them is the fact that no matter what level you play at there is always going to be something new in this game for you to learn. And also, though luck has its part to play in this game but experience, self control, and skill will always give any player the extra edge needed to win.

Now, since it is so popular, it automatically becomes the toughest poker game with all the competition it attracts which makes it essential for you to have a plan of your own to deal with this game.

Well, the basic idea at every level is to play tight and disciplined poker especially when you are playing with the starting cards. Yes, it’s true that any two cards can win but that’s not how it works practically and most beginners get to learn this practicality the hard way.

A player’s position on a table is where his plan starts taking shape as every position has its own pro’s and con’s to go with it.

Where anyone in the early position is at a disadvantage as he has to play their hand first the player at the last is given an advantage as he can modify his game with respect to that of the other players.

It’s always advisable to play tight than playing loose as the former can cost you profits but the latter will can easily mean losses for you. One has to be patient with their approach towards the game as it can be perfected only after years of experience which involves developing knowledge and intuition about the game.

I hope you enjoyed reading this article. Did you learn about Texas Holden? I strongly urge you to continue to learn more about this fantastic game.

After you’ve read this quick, easy to understand explanation of the Texas Holdem Poker rank of hands, you will know exactly who is winning instantly at the poker table, guaranteed. Read this article now.

Texas Holdem Poker has a variety of card combinations, which are called hands, which players use. The list below enumerates them (ranks them) in order of the strongest to the weakest combination.

Texas Holdem Poker Rank Of Hands

Straight Flush – This is the strongest combination and also the most winnable card. A very strong variant of this is the Royal Flush which is a sure win for anyone holding it. Straight Flushes are five cards arranged in order and in the same suit.

Four of A Kind – These are four cards of the same kind with a kicker on the side. Kickers are the 5th card that is unrelated to any of the four similar ranking cards.

Full House – Consists of two sets of cards; one in twos and another in threes that are of the same ranking.

Flush – This is almost like the straight flush, but this combination must have cards in the same suit that doesn’t really need to be in sequence.

Straight – This is almost similar to flush and straight flush in that the cards must be in order but won’t need to be in the same suit. Aces can be moved to either be at the first or last of the set. Only Aces can function in this manner, however.

Three of A Kind – This is comprised of three cards with the same ranking and two cards on the side.

Two Pair and One Pair –These are combinations that both contain pairs of cards of the same rank. Naturally a two pair combination will have one side card while a one pair will have three side cards.

High Cards – are combinations that cannot fall to any one of the classifications provided.

In all instances of showdown, ties are broken according to individual card ranking. For example, KK will always beat QQ the same way that TT will fall under JJ.

This article has outlined the complete Texas Holdem Poker Rank Of Hands for you to understand which hands beat which in Holdem. Memorize this information as you need to know if off the top of your head to be a good poker player.

Learn How To Play Texas Holdem Poker For NL The Easy Way

Its easy to learn how to play Texas Holdem poker for NL. NL stands for No Limit. No Limit Texas Holdem Poker is one of the most popular forms of poker in the world today. What makes NL poker stand apart from some other types of poker is the fact that at any time you can bet as much as you want up to no limit. Of course you have to have the amount of money you want to bet but that is the only restriction.

Learn How To Play Texas Holdem Poker For NL

Texas Holdem Poker is usually played with 8 players at a table. You can play with less players then this if there aren’t enough playerd. When there are only two players playing this is known as heads up. The table will have a dealer. There will be a dealer button that signifies where the dealer ‘is’. Each hand this moves to the next player around the table. The two players in front of the dealer are the big blind and the small blind. They have to post a certain amount of chips without being able to see their cards (hence ‘blind’).

The game starts and every player will get two cards. These are hole cards, or pocket cards, or down cards. These are your two cards and only you get to use them. A round of betting will occur. At a minimum if you want to play you will have to call the big blind which is the largest amount on the table. If someone raises you will have to call them or reraise them or you can fold. The minimum amount to raise or reraise is the amonut of the big blind. Once everyone has made their move, either called up to the maximum bet for the round or folded, the dealer will deal will pull all the chips into the middle, which is the pot.

The Flop, Turn and River

The dealer burns a card (this means he throws away the top card of the deck) and deals the flop. The flop consists of three cards placed face up on the table. These are known as community cards. Everyone gets to use these. By the end of the game there will be a total of five community cards. Each player must make the best possible five card hand with their own personal hole cards and the five community cards. After the flop is dealt there is a round of betting starting from the first player left of the dealer. This player can check (bet nothing), raise or fold. If he checks the next player also has the opportunity to check and it continues. If anyone bets you now cannot check and must either call that bet or fold. You can reraise if you like.

After all bets are done and the chips have been pulled into the pot the dealer will burn another card and then deal one more card, the turn, also called fourth street. Again, similar to before, betting starts from the first player left of the dealer. He can check, raise or fold. Like before, as soon as someone raises no one can check anymore. Sometimes every player just checks and the next card is dealt. More often though at least one person will bet and then you have to call that bet, or you can reraise or fold. This continues around until everyone has either folded or called up to the maximum amount bet. The dealer again pulls all the chips into the pot.

The dealer burns his last card and places the final community card on the table. This is called the river or fifth street. Now no more cards will come into play and the players know for sure their best five card hand. One final round of betting will take place in exactly the same format as before. After every player has acted the dealer brings all the chips into the pot and its time for the showdown. The player who initiated the final round of betting has to show his cards first and then everyone else shows their cards. The person with the best overall hand wins.

Texas Holdem Poker Hands

The different Texas Holdem Poker hands are easy to learn. I’ll do them in order from worst to best. Remember S=Spades, C=Clubs, D=Diamonds, H=Hearts.

1) Nothing, aka Highcard.
This is just five plain cards, i.e 7D-5S-4C-3C-2H
2) Pair
Two of you cards are the same number and three plain cards, i.e 2H-6H-10C-Jc-JS
3) Two Pair
Two pairs and one plain card, i.e AC-7S-7D-QC-QH
4) Three Of A Kind
Three of your cards are the same number and two plain cards, i.e JH-5S-8C-8S-8D
5) Straight
Five cards that are consecutive numbers, i.e. 3D-4H-5C-6S-7S.
6) Flush
Five cards that are all the same suit. They can be any numbers, i.e AS-8S-6S-4S-3S
7) Full House
A Three of a kind and the other two cards are a pair, i.e KD-KH-3S-3D-3C
Four Of A Kind
Four of your cards are the same number and one plain card, i.e JH-JD-JS-JC-9S
9) Straight Flush
Five consecutive numbered cards and they are all the same suit, i.e 4H-5H-6H-7H-8H
10) Royal Flush
The top five cards and all the same suit, i.e 10H-JH-QH-KH-AH

More Things To Remember

1) At any point in time anyone can go all-in which means they are betting all their chips. This is the essence of No Limit Texas Holdem Poker. If you want to continue playing you must call the amount that was bet.
2) Even though there are seven cards to use in total – the five community cards and your own two hole cards – your best hand is the best five cards of these seven.
3) Don’t bet out of turn. Always wait for the person before you to check, raise or fold before you make your move.

Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles Are A Great Way To Learn

Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles are a fantastic way to learn about No Limit Hold Em. There are a ridiculous amount of Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles sprinkled all over the internet.

Where To Find Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles

The first and best place to look for Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles is in an article directory. There are many article directories all over the Internet and they vary in size and quality. You should probably just cut to the chase and check out the biggest and the best: ezinearticles.com. Ezinearticles contains thousands upon thousands of useful articles from reputable authors. There is enough information in this site to keep you busy for a while.

Alternatively you can start hitting google to see what spits out. You’ll most probably find a bunch of poker websites and poker blogs with various amounts of information on them. You’ll see some recurring websites – the big and popular ones – but don’t be afraid to dig down in the search results. Sometimes you can find goldmines hidden in the corners of the Internet.

Why Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles Are Great

Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles are a great way to learn how to become a successful No Limit Hold Em Poker player for many reasons. Here’s a few:

1) Good quality: Articles will generally contain good quality information. Most articles are written by actual Hold Em Poker players and they know what they are talking about.

2) FREE: The articles are free, which is always good.

3) Quick and easy: Articles are quick and easy to read. You don’t have to spend hours and hours reading a book waiting for the author to cut to the chase. You don’t have to spend hours and hours of your time (and money) learning the good old hard way.

4) Super fast success: You can read some Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles and then implement that specific strategy immediately. You can test it and learn yourself and the article will have essentially given you a giant head start then if you hadn’t read it.

BEWARE! Risks With Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles

You take a certain risk when you read Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles from the Internet. Because the Internet is somewhat of an unregulated source of information you may not be getting information that is of the quality that may be found in a book. With that being said I’ve read some terrible poker books so don’t be too frightened.

Check out the author of the article you are reading. Ezinearticles.com has whats called ‘Expert Authors’. These are reputable authors for the section/type of article you are reading. Track down some expert authors on Texas Holdem NL and read their strategy articles.

Another small thing you can do is check to see if the article is 400+ words. This is sometimes a good indication that the article is decent. If the author has only written 200-300 words well maybe they aren’t sharing everything. This isn’t a hard rule though.

Look for consistency from an author. Are they regularly posting Texas Holdem NL Strategy Articles? Do they post articles about anything else? If 90% of an authors articles are about ‘Baking Cakes’ then maybe they aren’t the best author to follow. This isn’t a hard rule either but can give you an indication.

Use your common sense. Does the article sound right? Does it use words associated with poker and talk about poker? Does the Texas Holdem NL Strategy make sense? Have you heard it before or something similar before? Does it sound like it will work? Use your common sense when assessing the quality of the articles you are reading.
